summary of audi fashion festival

the audi fashion festival 2013 has been exciting and exhausting! i'm so relieve its over, and i'm pretty sure most of us are currently having post aff syndrome. for the curious you may ask - how did i get invited? well just to clarify, www.whatiwear.com gave me the opportunity to cover this event over the weekend and in return i had to snap some street style shots for their website. tbh, i secretly love photographing street style shots, but i'm so terrified (not to mention horrible) at approaching strangers...so i kinda gave the thought up. but having this chance presented to me, i'm glad i took up the courage and snapped away.

ok runway talk now. the designer that caught my eye is none other than ong shunmugam. i am so in love and inspired by the mixture of prints - indonesian batik, kimono, and vintage fabrics. more runway pictures here. i love love everything about it. the structure. the asian touch. the vibrancy. it will take me awhile to get over it.

hope you enjoy this mini visual from my perspective, i definitely will want to return next year for more xx

aff day 4

dress: topshop | neckpiece and foxtail: bangkok | bag: mom's | fedora: h&m

what i wore to audi fashion festival + blueprint on saturday! a little known fact about me: one of my favorite color has got to be emerald. i bought this dress from topshop few months back, the first time i wore it was to the elle horoscope event as seen here.

lately, i've been a little hat obsessed recently which resulted in me hunting for a fedora. walked into h&m and bingo. h&m is definitely one of the place to shop at for in trend accessories. take my band rings for another example. i kept the outfit simple with bottega veneta - esque shoes, knowing that i'll be on the move for the next 5 hours or so. i'll be talking about the actual event in the next posts! remember to check back ok?

hehe have a great week ahead! stay true to yourself

flora pajamas

scarf: H&M | camisole top: Made Up Apparels | pjs pants: Zara

even though i've only spent a few hours with gwen today to help pose for her upcoming exhibition, i love how our conversations are always so fashionably insightful and shes always ready to dish out advices. so grateful! anyways i'm wearing pajamas pants bought from zara just recently. i love how silky and comfortable the material is, making it too perfect for late brunches, lazy sundays and humid weathers. can totally visualize myself heading out in these comfy pants in different assembles hehe ;-)

blow + bar

last week, i had my hair done at blow + bar. a hair salon with a unique concept of having your hair, fresh nails and crisp wine fixed all at the same time, same place.

so a little background about my hair and i: its been ever since i had black / dark brown hair. my first dyeing experience was a total disaster (i swore i look like a golden monkey). frighten by the experience, i've decided to stay far away from hair salons and only go there when i needed a hair cut. i'm the kind of person who likes fuss free / low maintenance hair so i didn't really wanted any treatment or really bother about how it looks. well till now.

you know what they say, that hair is the most important part of the overall look but its always neglected. uhm. guilty.

i've been searching for the perfect hair salon to get my hair done at. after reading countless reviews and getting feedbacks from friends who had their hair dyed, i still feel insecure and don't trust these salons enough to ensure that my hair is properly taken care of. also, i don't like to be treated with the "just another customer" attitude. ha! princess mode on.

you have no idea how relief i was to have found blow + bar.

upon arrival, we were quickly seated & served with a glass of wine (i love white)

after much recommendations by Diana and swiping through the menu (the services they offer in exact + pictures of gorgeous blowouts) on the iPad. i selected the hair color i wanted, bid farewell to my dark hair and we got down to business!

i chose the #3 blowout (hello curls!) after having my hair double cleansed

how my hair looks under the shelter vs under the sun

i'm extremely pleased with the end results! *yay* initially i wanted to get a dip dye *think rumi neely* but Diana updated me that the coloring technique was so last season, and recommended the ombres nature spring summer 2013 by L'Oreal Professionnel. i like how my hair is a mixture of red, brown and purple - but the purple is totally mellow.

the after hair care product that i've bought + my pearly white nails!

can't thank enough for this gorgeous transformation by blow + bar!  now i'm so tempted to hold like a pre twenty-first birthday party where all my girlfriends can chill out together, get their blowouts and nails done! oooh i really like the sound of that ☺ also, just fyi. the salon is less than 10 steps from kith cafe and 5 minutes away from zouk...! how convenient!
